CCC CAMP 2003, Berlin :. |
|
It is decent for every
real 'hacker' to attend the second Chaos
Communication Camp, and so did we. CCC
conference was held near Berlin, from 7th till
10th of August. We attended
several interested thematic lectures, from
Open Source solutions till political discussions
about lessening our freedom. Of course
we were making a promotion of our festival
and most likely assured some foreign participants.
The atmosphere in the camp was very pleasant
and we can't wait for the next in four
years.

We attended some lessons, acquired new knowledge,
did a little bit of espionage and of course,
as it should be, we distributed promotional
material of the festival Kiblix 2002.

InterInfos 2002, Ljubljana :. |
|
|
Kiblix team was participating
at Interinfos 2002 fair, where we (ACE Kibla)
had our info stand, shared with Ljudmila (Ljubljana).
There were stickers, invitations, leaflets
and posters available and we were happy to
present Kiblix 2002 programme to the guests
and to answer all their inquisitive questions.
Ace Kibla also exhibited Minicinema, a project
by Dejan Štampar. Main attraction of the Interinfos
was the same as every year . hostesses, but
as far as the exhibitors are concerned, it
was a bit worse.

Business Linux Conference 2002, Portorož
:. |
|
On 29th and
30th of September 2002, the first Linux conference,
organised by GV Izobra.evanje and LUGOS, took
place in Portoro. auditorium. Kiblix team was
naturally participating. Conference was aimed
toward the business use of the programming
solutions of Open source. Some well and some
less known Slovene and foreign companies presented
themselves, among them IBM, Oracle, Hermes
Softlab etc. In any case, the most interesting
part of the conference was the round table
on differences between open source and close
source programme equipment. Also the participants
were interesting, since there were representatives
of IBM, Oracle, Agenda Opensystems and the
representative of Microsoft Slovenia. It was
an interesting event, however it was quite
transparent it is organised for the first time.
